Running down was a good option!
This one is tricky first if we killed one we don't have a firestarter to roast.
Plus we have a shotgun and I'm not entirely sure of the range so the nearest will be our best bet with about 3 shots @bitrocker2020
A knife is pretty useless against such a large creature! So I may have to stand back if you're shooting.

    Agreed. But with a shotgun .. 2 shots to the head of a cow lying down is the best option . 3 is a bit of an overkill . LoL.

      You know even if we use 5 shots the game only takes out what's required to kill the cow. So if one shot does it then we'll still have 4 left! @bitrocker2020

            yea .. that's my thoughts .. as a shotgun shot to the head is a sure hit and leaves a lot of meat

                  Just checked somewhere online https://tpwd.texas.gov/education/hunter-education/online-course/hunting-skills-1/vital-areas and @papa-pepper didn't talk about our shooting skills. So, perhaps we go for the body shot of the lying down cow to avoid missing? @bitrocker2020
