Steemshop Codes of Conduct

It is important for users to recognise that @steemshop and its associated accounts do not accept any liability for the transactions between sellers and buyers.

We have developed these codes of conduct which we hope will minimise issues in the transaction process.

COMMUNITY RULES

• We expect all users of Steemshop to act in good faith and behave in a manner that is fair and honourable during transactions

• If postage is required then registered post or a courier service is recommended so that a tracking number can be provided to the buyer and tracking be monitored by both parties

• Postal arrangements must be handled independently between the trading parties and @steemshop and its associated accounts do not accept any liability

• NSFW needs to be listed clearly in the title

When creating sales posts please follow the guidelines:

• Clear photographs from multiple angles (2 minimum)

• Name, materials and any further relevant description of item(s)

• Condition: i.e. New, Like New, Used

• Dimensions may be in inches/ins. & weight in ounces/pounds (whatever is native to your area), or product

• Asking price in Steem or Steem Dollars (or both) - with an indication if you are willing to negotiate (WTN)

• Location of item(s) - in order that delivery/shipping costs can be calculated. At this stage the buyer & seller must agree on method of delivery and be sure to keep all relevant documentation. @steemshop and associated accounts will not be held liable for any disputes

• Be sure to use the #steemshop tag as one of your five tags and we will resteem you into the correct Steemshop categories

If we feel that you are missing crucial information we will not necessarily resteem your post into the shop. Instead we will contact you outlining what we feel to be missing and after you have made the adjustments, your post will be resteemed into the relevant Steemshop categories.

Every successful entry to the Steemshop will be upvoted by @steemshop, resteemed into the relevant steemshop accounts and shared in the #steemshop feed on steemit.chat

We also have a Steemshop feed in Discord for Buy, Sell, Info & News, where posts will be automatically placed in the correct categories to ensure maximum coverage.

For sellers:

If a price is listed for a product or service and a purchase has been agreed the price should be honoured.

Once a transaction has been agreed upon it is the seller’s responsibility to ensure that delivery of the products or services is done in a timely and appropriate manner.

If postage is required then registered post or a courier service is recommended so that a tracking number can be provided to the buyer and tracking be monitored by both parties. All items posted must be appropriately packaged to ensure there is no damage to the products during transportation. @steemshop and associated accounts will not be held liable for any disputes.

Once the sales/delivery total has been agreed upon, the buyer will deposit the agreed amount into the @steemshopescrow account.

The seller will be informed by Steemshop once the payment has been received and is then obligated to honour the transaction.

Once the buyer receives the product they will contact @steemshop on https://steemit.chat/direct/steemshop so our escrow agents can release payment to the seller.

For buyers:

It is important to ensure that payment is made promptly by the buyer to the @steemshopescrow account. If the product is being posted it is advised that the buyer receives a tracking number so delivery can be traced. Once the product has been received the buyer must promptly contact @steemshop on https://steemit.chat/direct/steemshop so our escrow agents can release payment to the seller.

• If you are seeking a particular item be sure to give as much information as possible (ideally with photo references) as well as the price you are prepared to pay for it, in Steem and/or Steem Dollars

@steemshop and associated accounts will not be held liable for any disputes.

If these simple rules are followed we hope that transaction issues can be minimised.
