Launching of the steem lightening Africa project in Uyo high school.

Yesterday was 5th December 2024 and like a dream comes true. l realise that this is the fourth lighting project carrying out by @ubongudofot in Uyo and this was my first time of witnessing it. It was a tremendous act.

To be very sincere it was a beautiful and colourful day for the people at UYO High SCHOOL. This was a good achievement for last month of this year and happened to be create impact for steemians.

STEEM lighting Africa project is not just a name but with what l heard and seen it create impacts in Africa in terms of electricity. It also create avenue for different people to know and learn about steemit. lt is a powerful promotional tool.

Government schools here in my country do not help students to have access to computers and to use it due to high cost of fuel and fluctuating power supplies. Most students are unable to spend much time in the ICT class. I believe that the donation of Solar system by steem solar and electrical for school run will aid the existing condition. Student were extremely delighted seeing this happening... it was their dream comes true because having basic knowledge of ICT during secondary level is essential.

On arriving the venue, we met the principal, he assembled all the teachers and students together for commissioning of the project.
@ubongudofot gave a speech and other schools authorities did the same.

We took different pictures with them during the program and were so excited. Afterward, we moved into the computer laboratory to see the powered point and did handing over to the teacher in charge. Ubongudofot showed the ICT teacher how to switch on and off the system. He assured them that he will be available for them anytime his services is needed.

The students were extremely excited to know that from the moment henceforth they would have twenty-four hours of power supply in the computers and that there is nothing that will lead to power failure in the system, meaning the students will no longer be missing their practical classes.The students were so grateful and promised not to toil the item.

The vice principal shown gratitude by giving all the steemians chilled bottle water and a bottle of wine for our refreshment. I was delighted to see different steemians like @iddy, @ubongudofot @udyliciouz, @lusciouslucy, @eliany who also witnessed the launching.

I took yesterday as a great privilege to witnessed how the Steem Lighting Africa solar project touched the lives of people in Uyo High School here in my region.

I sincerely appreciate ubongudofot for this wonderful initiative which touches different people life. I also appreciate him for his truthfulness and fulfilling spirit. He is a promise keeper, a project initiator and a man well representing Steemit. Please keep it up.
