It's been such a busy day I almost forgot all about the torch until I saw @travelgirl's post.
So guess who got the Steem torch late last night courtesy of @o07?
At first I thought it was like a bat signal sort of torch.
Don't ask. It was late.
It wasn't until I read this that I realised what an honour it was and I immediately said yes.
By the time I got it there was 502 Steem in the kitty and I was the 72nd person in the circle of trust.
Not wanting to be the keeper of such responsibility for a long period of time, I quickly converted SBD to Steem (thank God for @blocktrades!) and lucky for me @travelgirl was online and prompt last night and about 8 minutes later the torch was with her.
It was a bit of a case of Hot Potato. From my understanding she had someone lined up in minutes and it was coming to midnight ~ not bad girlfriend, not bad at all!!
Thank you @geekgirl for initiating Steem torch and the huge circle of trust project that it is. It made me realise how many people I completely trust on Steem and the many friendships and bonds I've made here since 2017.
It also emphasized how the tight, unique and amazing the Steem blockchain really is. I love you Steemit!

@o07 told me that when the torch finishes it's journey the proceeds go to charity, which is cool.
Congrats on being chosen (I would have passed it along to you had it passed through my account, which very nearly did happen) so you are well respected on here.

Aww thanks @shaidon! I had a few people in mind for the torch, I was just really fortunate @travelgirl was up and was like lightning!
I guess one of the perks of being here since 2017 you get to know people and build relationships.

Good one girl! Haha I had to look for someone from Asia as their timezone is behind so that was my bet plus of course I also trusted @livinguktaiwan like you trusted me. You are correct how Steemit have bought people friendships and most importantly we trusted each other ❤️

I had horror images of my account getting hacked over night and losing the torch 😱😱 and was like, ohh hell nah, not on my watch 😂
Gonna go check out @livinguktaiwan now seeing as she's in the circle of trust!
Also, ain't nothing like meet ups to build trust and bring peeps together. My next one might be a baby shower meet up lol ❤

We were going to see if we could get it round all the mallsballers first, but @o07 was a traitor and sent it interstate! 😂 At least we kept it in Australia for a bit.
Looks like it's come back to Adelaide now and @mattclarke has had it for the last couple of days. I think the other steemtorch, @rustle should carry it for a bit. That would make a fun post!

Lol I actually thought it made the rounds in Adelaide already and it was Sydney's turn cos I did think of @mattclarke first but though nahhh fo sure it's gone through him already so I'm glad you've got it Matt!
Let's try to keep it down under for a while eh? ;) I've got a few people in mind for Sydney if it ever comes back my way ;) Then we'll send it to Perth.
