I have an idea on how we can all win more with Steemit! I have a plan and I am going to call it brownie points Steem plan. How about if we create a post that earns a lot of money we give back to all the voters and redistribute let's say 30% of what we earn, we give back to everyone that voted on our post.
How it works
This would not be a mandatory requirement to give back to all the voters, but voluntary to keep your following and increase your popularity on Steemit! I love this idea because it would increase people voting on content and make people want to dig through every article. Everyone that is participating in the program would use the hastag #Brownie-points. So they know that they can earn more by stopping to look at your article and see if it is worth them using some voting power to up vote your work.
Everyone participating in the program gives 30% of their Steem dollars to everyone that voted, so if the post earns $1000 dollars you will have $500 in Steem Dollars that gets evenly divided among every voter for a total of 30% of your SD that you earned. So if 100 people voted on it and it earned $500 in Steem dollars each voter would receive $1.5 Steem Dollars or the conversion rate of $1.5 Steem Dollars to Steem.
Why this is fair
This is fair because not every single user has been using Steemit since the day it was created so someone that just started today still has a chance to earn a decent amount of Steem just by voting. I know not everyone will like this idea but it is a fair plan I think to give back to new users and create a friendly atmosphere where every single user has a chance to earn a decent amount and not just a select few.
Select few
I don't want to see Steemit go down the road to being just a select few people who got lucky by getting in at the beginning of the creation are the only ones who earn a lot of money, just because they control all the supply of new Steem. This doesn't seem fair to me, so this is why I want to do a #brownie-points reward system for people who vote on all of my posts, I will reward them with 30% of all Steem Dollars that I receive go back to all voters who vote before the 24 hour curation period expires.
Why I want to do it
I want to do this to increase voting on new users accounts so that new users will be excited to vote on content and have a chance to earn a lot of rewards just like I did when I first started Steemit! When I first started Steemit the price per Steem was around .25 cents so I had a great opportunity for a big financial gain in value. This new #brownie-points program will greatly increase our votes that we recieve, we will recieve less money but I am alright with less money to gain a large following. This program will require the trust of voters to count on me to pay them back in rewards. I assume that if I do not do as I say then I will be black listed and marked as spam basically. But this willl be a program that users can count on to earn extra rewards. It is very simple I get a list of everyone that voted before the curation ended at the 24 hour mark and everyone that voted will get 30% of my Steem Dollars it will be evenly redistributed to my followers. This doesn't mean I will go back and pay every person that previously voted on my content, but it does mean that when a post is marked with the #brownie-points then you will get 30% of all funds allocated from that specific post and the 30% of those funds will be evenly divided among everyone that voted.
Voter turnout
I hope this will increase voter turnout and get more people excited to vote. The only thing I am worried about is that this only attracts people who do not have a lot of Steem power and so it might not get very many rewards for anyone.
I hope it turns into a success
I hope word gets out to Steemit developers that I created a #brownie-points system, that is a voluntary system to give 30% of your allocated funds from votes back to the voters! If word gets out to developers and my program is a success then maybe they will give everyone an option to mark your post as a #brownie-points system so that your funds automatically get divided among everyone so that you don't have to send everyone a bunch of separate funds. It might take me awhile to distribute all the funds if there are over 100 voters but if it is a successful system it will be well worth doing it.
Invest in followers
I noticed that a lot of people in the top charts of Steemit everyday have a following so this is what I hope to create with this reward system is so that anyone can have a following.
I predict if this system of distribution is a success then people that vote will look specifically for #brownie-points posts so that they are rewarded more heavily. I hope that nobody looks at this like I am breaking the rules or anything like that, that is not what I intend to do. It don't see anywhere in the white paper that says that I cannot rewarded followers or voters.
Do not tell me this is against the rules
Please do not leave a nasty comment saying that I am buying votes or something like that. That is not what I intend to do. I only intend to increase voter turnout and make it so the very last voter can still earn into the curation period. Right now most people only vote on content that is new because you don't get rewarded very much on content that has already been voted up to the top charts.
Spread out the votes
I want this reward system to spread out the votes so that people aren't only looking for content that is brand new. Because as the rules are right now you don't get hardly anything if you vote on something in the top charts that is 8 hours old. I want people to vote regardless of how old the content is. It is kind of dumb cause right now a lot of people won't vote on something that is old because their isn't a lot of reward for doing so.
I will only be doing this redistribution on posts that have the #brownie-points tag attached to the title and to in the post, so do not come to me and say I owe you money on a post that was voted on a long time ago. I hope this is a success so that I can continue the program and do this on every post.
My goal
My goal is to earn more money for every voter. I am most interested in earning Steem power for myself so it is not a big deal for me to give away 30% of my Steem to earn my posts some more Steem power. I am a long term investor in this concept and I plan on staying true to my word.
If this turns into a big flop
There is the possibility that this turns into a big flop and only people that vote on #brownie-points posts are people with no Steem power who bring no rewards and no value if this is the case then the system will not succeed like I hope it will. So any person voting make sure you have good voting power on steemed.com/@username if your voting power is really low this might not work.
I love that Steem has inspired people to create innovations within the platform at such a quick rate. I think this may be a really good idea that many people will be on board with. And if it doesnt get anywhere Im here to learn about any other ideas you may have! You have my upvote.
Hard to say for sure. But I like going on your voting power percentage if your percentage is to low then wait for it to re-charge then vote more. I took my voting power all the way down to 19% but then I realized the more I vote the less I get in rewards I like to keep mine above 80-90% so that when I vote it really gives you a good .03-.04 cents on 1 vote instead of just .005 like I was giving people before. But I wouldn't enforce it unless a bunch of people are taking advantage and voting at last second.

Here are everyone's points so they know I am really doing this. This post only earned .07 cents so it wasn't much but hey maybe it will catch on.

Probably 30%. But that is up for debate still.
