Fue una temporada complicada con cambios de entrenadores, pero al final consiguieron el mal menor de jugar en Europa. Este año confiarán en un entrenador inexperto en estas lides pero que ha demostrado su valía en el Girona haciendo una gran campaña. Machín intentará plasmar sus ideas en el terreno de juego desplegando un juego vertical y abriendo mucho el campo por las bandas.
Durante todo el verano buscaban un delantero de garantias y parece que lo han encontrado con la llegada del portugués Silva procedente del AC Milán. Para la porteria han fichado a Vaclick, además han incorporado al lateral Vidal 5.0M al central Gómez 4.5M y al centrocampista Roque Mesa 6.3M.
