I decided to post this quick tutorial for everyone who has been having issues with the Steemit search feature. For the past few hours I keep getting this error and I assumed I could not be the only one. Here's a quick, easy and simple work around to have Google search their index for you while the Steemit search feature is down.

Here's the error I keep getting :

Here's how you can work around this with a simple Google site search :

Follow the directions in Red above and you're all set to search Steemit.

Here's what Google returned when I did a quick site search for the keyword "trending" :

Replace trending with whatever search terms and keywords you want and click search. Google will do the rest!

This honestly legitimate tutorial got 48 upvotes and a comment from a bot within seconds of posting? This bot garbage is getting out of hand...

The information above was provided to be helpful while the search feature was down, not just bot bait when I tagged it as a "[Tutorial]".

Thanks for the reply. :-) I was beginning to think that of the 50+ upvotes I received almost all but a couple were from bots because most came in within seconds of posting before the post started getting buried.

Thanks, I didn't realise search was down until I read your article... I obviously need more coffee!

You're welcome. :-) It's been down for a while and I don't know why or for how long which is why I wrote a quick tutorial for the less tech savvy on how to use Google site search as a work around for the time being.

Thank you for the reply. I was beginning to think my post had become bot bait and would just get buried. It's good to see it actually reached a real human who found it helpful. :-)
