This may be the last post I make on Steem. I say this with a heavy heart because I worked for 3 years or so building and pushing Steem to friends and anyone that would listen to me. I really believed in Steem, with the recent sale of Steemit Inc to Justin Sun I can not really believe in Steem anymore.
Many may not agree and that is fine because that is the thing about us as human beings we have free will and a mind of our own. In my mind, I believe that what happened on Steem was and is wrong. So I will not be a partner to that wrongdoing any longer.
One of the things that really set this in my mind was this post by @steemitblog!

In the U.S we live in a world of Free-Markets. This is a U.S based corporation. When they post something such as this I look at it as a violation of the Free-Market and against my values as an American.
And yes, we did add the ability to hide posts that violated the terms of condition of steemit.com, those posts are still existing in the blockchain but not showing in steemit.com website, as we need to support our content and the community's content. Would any commercial website support a post that encourages all users to migrate to another one? No. That would not be in the best interest of the community and the Steem ecosystem.
Justin Sun has already gotten big exchanges to use customer funds to set up a coup to take over Steem. Then wanting to change power-down time to 24 hours to "save face" for him and his "friends" who run those said exchanges.
Steem is on the way to centralization and I do not want to be a part of that. It is the taking away of the rights of freedom of speech. China, I believe has taken that right away from its citizens and I do not want that ideology to come to the U.S. and I believe this is a stepping stone for that to make its way into our minds, that it is ok. It is not ok and I will not be a part of it.
You can say what you will about me or to me for that matter, as I do not really care because this is the way I feel and I believe. You can straddle a fence only so long before it starts to hurt and you have to choose one way or the other! If you choose to stay on Steem then that is your right and your choice. I wish you well and good luck in your endeavor. I hope everyone has a great day or night, whatever it is in your part of the world.
