Do you actually get money from Steam, i.e. real money in your bank account ?

I have been wondering whether you can earn real money in your bank account. Or is this purely something virtual with no real value ?
In other sites we know how the payment happens, when the payment happens, Somehow I feel there is not much clarity here.
I made one post last night. It shows a value of $ 0.06, I really don't have any idea as to what it means.

This is a question many ask but YES you can get actual money from steam it is real stick around read you will find many informative posts.

Yes you can get real money in your bank account. But as of now, it can't be done directly. Here is how I do it: (I have done this only once and that too for testing how the system works only)

So, first you need to make an account at Bittrex (www.bittrex.com). Bittrex is an exchange where you can convert your steem and steem dollars (not steem power) into Bitcoin. Bitcoin is yet another cryptocurrency just like steem and steem dollars.

Then once you have your bitcoins, you can convert them to USD or other paper currencies of the world and then transfer them to your bank account. THAT is done through a BITCOIN EXCHANGE. The biggest exchange by volume are at the moment Bitfinex for USD and Kraken / Bitstamp for EUR.

You can know more about this from this article:

Have a nice day! :)

You are most welcome! :)

So if I upvote your post, does it take from MY balance?

Jessie

No, it doesn't. The money is given by the Steem blockchain.

You need to transfer your steem from your wallet(using the transfer button). You'll need to create an account at an exchange such as bittrex.com or poloniex.com to transfer it to.
From there you can trade on the exchange for bitcoins. Finally transfer the bitcoins to coinbase.com, and turn them into USD.
It sounds like a big pain, but once you have everything setup, it really isn't too bad. Hopefully as this thing takes off, there will be better tools that appear!

Very helpful and informative as well thanks alot!👌👍

thanks for sharing. hope this will make things clear.

When you get enough steem, transfer it to an exchange. Then sell it for fiat, transfer to you bank account. Its a long process but if you have enough steem it's worth it.
