EUREKA! I've done it! I learned how to post to SteemIt by using only JavaScript and HTML. Now to finally make a better authoring tool for writing new articles and using SteemIt. What should I call this new software? Suggest a name in the comments :)

I think SteemConnect v2 requires Node.JS but for Portable Steem I was hoping to keep it all in one portable html file. Looks nice though.

Hi cryptohero, the only actual education in programming I had was in Highschool when I took a computer-aided drafting (CAD) class and they had Visual Basic installed on some of the computers. I ended up taking the class twice, and the second time around the teacher let me just play with Visual Basic instead of the architecture software because I had already learned the architecture stuff. Ever since then I've been hooked on programming.

it's basically plain javascript in an html file, i wanted to make it as portable and compatible as i could. i'll probably host it somewhere and include a download link so people can get the source, then they could run it on their own host or local machine.
my main goal was to create a better text editor than the one on steemit.com, but now that i've been using the SteemIt API i think i can probably make it do more than just article writing. maybe some sort of text-to-speech article reader. or maybe even an in-browser bot program. the possibilities are endless. let me know if you come up with any ideas, and i'll try to include them.
