I've just started using Steemit, and I notice how active and engaged the community, as well as the reward system which is built on blockchain! It is really interesting and makes me excited about the future and the potential of Steemit. I was never a big fan of reddit but after 1 day on Steemit. I'm hooked!
What do you guys think? ( Comment below on your opinion, any suggestions are welcome )
- Is it possible that Steemit can take over reddit?
- How is your experience on Steemit so far?
- What do you think is the potential of Steemit? And what does this suggest?
I think STEEMIT's greatest strength is the value it places on its contributors which sounds like an obvious thing to say but as proved by the surprise and incredulity of people who have never come across STEEMIT before, it's obviously a game changer.
When good things happen to the people who contribute to a site, the site has good things happen to IT.
If I was a major contributor to a popular site and found out that my hard work and effort would produce rewards an ORDER of MAGNITUDE HIGHER elsewhere..I'd be getting itchy feet :-)

I agree. And one example I can think of is the growth of Youtube, once people found out you can earn money just by posting videos on Youtube, everyone started doing it, as a result Youtube became the largest video platform in the world.

I reckon it can and will become a strong alternative (if not a replacement for reddit) as Steem matures. Choice is good though

Yeah, being an alternative is still really good, as Reddit is still one of the largest platform. " The Front Page Of Internet ". And Steemit could be " The Second Page Of Internet " xD

It is going to be a while before Steemit will become as established as Reddit, but there is no denying the potential of steemit will exponentially rise to the top!

Yep! The time for growth needed. And at the end it just comes down to what the two platforms can offer differently.

I think Steemit could take over social media if it's done right. The incentivization of everything is hard to pass up on.
My experience has been wonderful. I've met a lot of really awesome, talented people, and I've managed to stack a decent little amount of SP. A lot of content goes unnoticed, but that's anywhere. Building a following is everything, so you have to really interact with the community - or you fall behind. :P

Great advice. And I think it would be a shock if other social media platform using similar technology and idea as Steemit. There is a lot of room for growth.
