[Question] Concerning Steem accounts (one for personal use and one for business)

in steem •  7 years ago

Hello there everyone.

As I understand it, officially you are only supposed to have a single account which is all well and good.

However, I have begun working on a new thing to be released on/for steem and developing it under another name with a colleague. We don't want to link it directly to our personal accounts and want to create a Steem account (similar to how Zappl has an account specifically for @zappl stuff). We also intend on developing other things under this name once it is complete and contributing under it etc.

I just wanted to verify that doing this wont break any TOS or upset the steem maintainers, and I don't know if say reusing the same phone number twice will flag us for trouble we don't want.

How is multiple accounts handled at the moment for situations like this?

@ytcracker told me to ask you @adept since he has a similar issue he is facing

It's not against TOS but steemit.com signup only allows phone numbers to be used once. There's a few alternative services; generally they require you to pay BTC or STEEM for registration fees.
