SoS Daily News : news about the State of Steem @ 17 January 2019

Well it's great news to see that plans are afoot to move things forward.

It is just such a shame that @ned has negatively impacted one of the most vibrant communities on Steemit (musicians) by removing his delegation from @dsound with the reason that he hadn't been contacted by them.

If communities are integral to the future of Steemit maybe you would reconsider your delegation to dsound @Ned? There are 1000s of musicians that would really appreciate it!

I agree, there are lots of musicians via dsound that would love to have this delegation re-instated!

Well said @atomcollector - safe to say that the dsound community was "less than impressed" with the way that all went down. It has sent a shock wave through the music community and those that used the @dsound dApp to help bring music to the steem blockchain.

If the delegation can be reconsidered and the doors of communication opened more with dsound, the feeling would certainly be lifted.

yes I concur, so much about building communities and total disregard for one of the biggest ones in the entire Steemit ecosystem...without warning and notifications ...shame on you Ned....shame.....shame....shame...shame.....

yes couldn't agree more , why ned ? why ? , @dsound is for sure one of the biggest selling points of steemit as a great platform , I don't understand your thinking on this issue at all :(

I am less excited about and involved in Steemit since he did this. I'm not a blogger or a video-maker or a crypto-news person and have zero desire to be. I am a musician. There was ONE Dapp on Steemit that I used. It got crippled. Maybe DSound will be better off in the long term without the delegation, but the way this was done was BS, imo.

@dsound was my gateway into this ecosystem and has -the- most active and community oriented developer in the game. Mansgement being oblivious to DSound’s contribution to the steem blockchain or the size and potential of the community around it is straight up ALARMING re: my time + money investment in the platform.

Literally handicapping the best ambassador Steem has to the creative community!

It's called clipping our wings. Just when they realized we can fly, through the rising tide, they are taking the wind from under us. Like Smiths in the matrix, gate keepers are gatekeepers, come the moment of conversion. Lot's of folks are intentionally stiffing progress, when they know they can make things better. They want their own and not for others.

Together we elevate! Indie all the way. Let's support Musicoin more. :) I know I went off, but this place(Steemit) is so suppressing, I feel, of my kind of free thought, it's conformity to the community or no upvotes. Community is good and all, but isn't this enforced tribalism? Why don't they work on people being able to be discovered and sustain themselves without the need for a community? Isn't that what being decentralized is all about. I know I sound contradictory, being that I'm a part of many communities, but dang nabit. LOL #indieNetwork

Spot on @atomcollector - Dsound is one of, if not the biggest things on Steemit for musicians, it's been a really beneficial part of Steemit for me and countless others, I'd be really disappointed to see @dsound lose support from @ned

As a very active user of Steemit and DSound I actually felt disrespected with this action and really though about stop using Steemit and take all my steem out because you can't deny the fact that there was a lot of activity in DSound and a lot great musicians involved to just do what you did without notice. And if in fact the reason was that you haven't heard from the project in a while, wasn't it wiser to first try to find out what was going on with it??? Maybe look for a better solution?

Well said @atomcollector. What a shame that the community has been penalised for something that appears so trivial and easily fixable. The Steemit/DSound combo is one of the best of the new wave of (and ever expanding) outlets for musicians and it would be a shame to see the community leave for pastures new :-(

thats very sad. i always saw steemit(combined with dsound) as one of the best platforms for music on the blockchain. but that doesnt seem to be the case anymore. being let down like that without any communication before feels very discouraging and it seems that steemit has no respect for their content-creators at all. if music has no value here.. what else will be devalued in the future? photos? videos? poetry?

Unless there will be no more delegating to communities by the steemit management, one would think the music community on steemit that @dsound supports, with all its engagement and retention, would never have its delegation rescinded...

It looks like Pedro is getting a good plan worked out now...
