I Sold My Bitcoin at $17K and Bought Steem Tonight - POWERED UP!

Dear Steemians,

Tonight I put my money where my mouth is. I purchased 287.613 Steem and POWERED UP!!!

I have been pretty active on Steemit for the last several months, mostly commenting but making some short posts as well.

Earlier this year I made some awesome investments/trades, mainly realizing gains with Bitshares, Bitcoin and finally SBD. I powered up those gains and have been enjoying my Steem Power ever since. I figured it was time to do it again.

I cashed out BTC for USD at $17K and sat on it for a week or so.

Tonight I finally made the decision to lock the funds up in Steem Power and I can honestly say I will sleep better than ever tonight knowing my little chunk of money is securely invested in an advanced blockchain that is faster and cheaper than anything I have found. I also love the fact that my Steem Power gives me the opportunity to earn more Steem and share the rewards with my fellow Steemians too!

Allow me to list reasons I have made this investment:

  1. This platform is the most advanced, useful, efficient, speedy and community oriented out there.
  2. SBD is still mooning. Need I say more???!!!
  3. The 2017 U.S. tax bill's punishing law change that will cause a tax event at each trade from crypto to crypto. No more trading for me.
  4. I believe this is just the beginning for Steem, Steemit and all the other apps built on this platform.
  5. Utopian.io!!!
  6. Smart Media Tokens (SMT)s!!!
  7. Hard Fork 20!

I could go on but if you have been paying attention I am preaching to the choir anyway!

      I’m selling my Litecoin, Dash and possibly Ardor early next week and doing the same thing. :)

      I would have done it this week if I was somewhere that had a decent internet connection.

      Edit: oh and I also landed a free crypto kitty somehow so that will get sold and converted to Steem Power as well.
