Don't Let Yourself be a Steemian Whale Fool, Do These Weird Tricks Instead!

in steem •  7 years ago  (edited)

Getting started on steemit is at once an exciting and daunting endeavor. Getting started is exciting because you have heard or seen people make money by writing blog posts everyday.

What a deal! Get paid just for writing a blog post? I love writing ([now I love writing]).
- The Inner Dialogue of a Noob

Before you write your introductory post you read through a few. You see the Filipino #MotherOf Jack and Isabela from Venazuela make $500 for telling steemit about her city and what is for dinner tonight. Then you see a paleo vegan #insta crossfit model prepper from Finland make $400.00 for her composting article. Of course there is always a Rico Techy Neuvo writing about the steem platform and the economic implications this technology brings to society. Everyone on steemit is inspired and vote the guy up to $1000 for the post. You look in the wallet and you see a million steem bucks.

Tip: always comment and vote on these posts, when you are new you need to engage the successful to be successful.

Yeah! That is what I am talking about! Making Moola & dinero, bringing the greenbacks home! Here is my first post, neatly styled in markdown with a great look into who I am and what I will do on steemit.

Hold your horses! If you want the money wagons to stop and unload at your post you have a lot of work to do!

Weird Tricks, and Some Treats

  • Your Title is Your Worth

Creating captivating and inticing titles are mandatory to get views on your posts. Do not be afraid of descriptive titles with the first letter of every word capitalized as this is what you want in the end!

  • Comment and Post at the Same Time Every Day

To gain a regular following tune your posts for a certain time of day. People who stick to schedules will most likely be reading and writing on their schedule so you now can entertain and be entertained reliably by the same people.

  • Write A Master Post

When you have a topic that is going to be long, unless you are @ned you will want to break the topic down into three to five minute reads. Use a Master Post to bind all the smaller posts into one post that outlines the article so people can read through the article at will having the master post as reference.

  • Use the Mobile App "Esteem"

the mobile app "Esteem" created by @good-karma automatically upvotes your posts!

  • Vote on Posts that are Making $$$ after the 15 Minute Mark.

It goes against the purist in us all, but save most of your 10 daily votes for posts that are already making money after 15 minutes. This helps you build curation rewards. That said save a few votes for noobs like you that write a great introduction article and posts.

  • Comment on Posts that are Making $$$.

People who are successful on steemit have most likely seen many fast and quick comments. Be unique, be funny, be thoughtful to get the authors attention so that they might want to follow you even if it takes seeing three of your 1000 posts before they recognize you. This is high value networking!

  • Proofread Everything Before You Post

There is a data limit on how much and often you can post. If you are commenting a lot, you will very likely run into this limit if you have to edit your comments or any posts for correctness after you already submitted them.

There are many other tips and tricks I want to share with you. So...
