A very wise post. Vote bots and similarly skewed incentive structures are one of the things that make me question whether steemit is the right platform for me.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
