Looking at the SBD prize shooting up again, I think there are a lot of newbies, including me, that are probably asking themselves the same question right now, so maybe this thread could serve many of us.

I’ve been asking myself the same question, but some logical thinking brings me to the conclusion that the higher the price of SBD, the more Steem you can buy (SBD is now trading at $7.34 and Steem at $5.50), an the more you can power up.
Again, I’m not 100% sure, so I’m looking forward to future comments on this post

These are exactly the same thoughts that I have. And as you, I am not 100% sure ; - )
For now, with the little knowledge I possess at the moment, I have decided to wait and accumulate, as I speculate on a better ratio than today in the upcoming weeks. But still, I am not so sure, if saving is yet the best decision, that is why hearing opinions from other community members is very exciting!
