There are many interesting stats on SteemDB but I'd like to draw your attention to one particular link which I found really helpful.
Here, you can see the top 100 author payouts for each day. This info is only available for posts where the payment is finalized so the latest date is the 6th June. This is a really useful resource as it provides the readers a chance to review the most popular posts and it also gives some insight into the types of rewards top posts are making.
I have included the top 10 payouts for the 6th in the table below.
What I like about the results is that the top payouts are being spread out over a range of different threads (from Psychology to Humour to Crypto-trading).

Just change the date in the URL to go to a different period.
