Know your self-worth

Hello friends, I am delighted ones again that you stopped by to check on my post you are highly welcome. Hope you are having a nice day at home.

Just like the saying time really flies, just few days ago we were thinking about the lock down order for two weeks that was given to us to stay at home and today is the final week of the lock down order, I honestly pray that this becomes the last lock down that will be given to us and I think it is depending on the reduced rate of confirmed cases here in Nigeria.

Yesterday was the beginning of a new week and over here in Lagos where I reside the city is still very cold with few people coming out to do one or two things just to keep the body and soul together. In spite of the lock down we still need to look for a way to survive so that we can also share our life experiences and histories to our children and our coming generation yet to be born. You will agree with me that we cannot do all of those things without life. Here is a picture of LAWMA {Lagos state waste management authority} officials who are on duty; well I think the environment will not be too dirty because larger percentages of people are at home. Unlike before I know I would count up to 10 to 15 of them doing their work but this time around I saw just three of them, I hope they are also not under the lock down order. Lol just kidding.

We honestly need to boost our confident in a time like this, come to think of it how many of us have gotten the relief materials and food items that the government promised us just a week ago. Please oooo if you have remember to share with us, nevertheless we also accept from our neighboring countries as well. Remember that just because you can’t help everyone does not mean you should not help anyone.

How many of us know our self worth, do you know how expensive you are? Realizing your self-worth has nothing to do with checking your bank balance as many would want to do or are doing these days. It is all about you, you person you are in life. Sometime I imagine how we give others respect, love and consideration but the question is how often do we give ourselves what is due? Am not saying we should not respect, love or consider others, we also need to value our own self without involving pride in it. I usually tell my friends most especially that how they value themselves is based on their self esteem, because positive and healthy self esteem usually leads to happiness, joy etc. who doesn’t want to be happy, everybody want happiness so why are you stopping yourself from becoming happy.

You might not agree with this but I think I still need to say it, how we see ourselves has a lot to do with how others see us, if you are always happy, and you are always putting on a smiling face then others will see you as someone they want to be with, if we respect and portray this then others will respect you too after all how can you ask for respect from others when you don’t even respect yourself? So finding and developing your self- worth is all about developing your self esteem.

Well I think we are going to talk about self esteem may be tomorrow or some other time.
