I have been wondering why SBD have increased in value so much, when they are supposed to be pegged to the US Dollar. Your take on new users leaving SBD in their account is an interesting one that I hadn't considered.

This is really a great video, I am only 2 months old (at steemit) and most of the info shared in your video, it took me hours of searching and (re)reading in order to understand :)

I have a question, if anyone can answer ... You mentioned that this little + that we have under our steem power has something to do with delegation of steem?

What is it or where do I find more info about it?

So when you signed up you automatically got some free Steem power delegated to you just for signing up. That is the (+14.00 Steem Power) you see under your Steem balance. You do not actually own any of these Steem.....ever. You do however get to use the voting power that these few Steem power delegated give you. If you notice in my wallet it says (-9,900 Steem Power) this is because I have loaned or delegated some of my voting power to someone else who was willing to pay me to use it for a short term which is usually 4 weeks or so. The interest is about 24%apr for the loans. So I actually get 5.1 Steem every single day as payment for loaning 9,900 Steem Power. You can find people looking for loans at www.minnowbooster.net where there is a large marketplace of people looking to bowworw Steem power and pay interest. They system pays you automatically because the borrower must put up all the intrest you will be owed in advance to secure the loan. It is risk free.

So the lil' box on the post page we all have has the "power up", "50/50" and "decline" options. You're saying pick the "power up" option? Does this give you the 100% SBD to then go to the internal exchange or does it automatically go straight into steem or steem power? Just a bit confused on the mechanics of it all.

i feel like this needs to be put into the introduction tag ; because a lot of new users need to hear this ;
Perhaps you should make another video for a tutorial looking towards anyone that has under 50 rep - or just starting out .

This is an amazing amount of information for new users .
I usually go to about 40% of my voting power and let it build back up over a day or two ; during that time that is when im writing articles .

I feel like new users need information like this, along with how to properly use not only the introduction post, but the steem platform itself .

Loved your video - very well done for confused people like me. I subbed and liked over there.

I have been using my SBD to buy in the market for a few days now. I just did a post about this craziness. I place orders and then the price drops, they close, and I place more orders! So fun!

But now I'm thinking the SBD price is so high, that maybe I should not be buying in the market. It's around .14 SBD per 1 STEEM right now. Isn't that like half of the outside market? I'm not trying to cash out, but just highly confused!

At 14.00 you should be converting SBD to Steem as fast as you can. It's a sick deal for you!!!! Then when Steem rises to 10.00 your gonna make dollars so much faster. Keep at it and learn all you can. I'll make more videos to help y'all.

Great video and upvoted! I used to wonder why the Steem developers had Steem and SBD and it is all starting to make sense to me. The Steem blockchain is moving up in the world and is much better for value transfer than Bitcoin so hopefully it proliferates. Do you have any news on the Stand Alone Wallet?

steem power are like bank interests at around 40-50% per year
so if your account is 10000 sp and you vote yourself at 100% 10 times a day you will get 1.31$ worth of upvotes and 4716$ a year half of which will be in sbd if you chose the 50-50 mode

if you vote 15 times a day you get around 7000 a year but you gotta take in consideration the time to get at 100% voting weight so around 5000 for sure but who votes himself like that you are better off voting others and getting involved in the community
now tell this to the ones that are not on steemit and they will come in a rush
just tell them you will get 50% interests per year of whatever they have invested in
it is about language talk to them like tic tac toc...money money money gotta get that dough
they will get it!

"Dawwwwg! ...50% interests???...."
