Good post and I agree with most of it. Steem and Ethereum are vastly different though. I'm not sure if it's a like for like comparison.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
