Both Steem and Steem Dollars have been enjoying a nice increase on value throughout the past 24 hours. The prices have risen to $5.83 and $7.38, respectively.
Steem is up 33.54 percent and SBD is up 9.89 percent!
It is important to do your own research and make your own decisions, but I will be personally be trying to get as much Steem Power as I can because I think that this platform will do very well over the next couple of years.
I can easily see Steem at $50, and maybe higher! What do you think Steem could hit? Tell me in the comments.

What I say is: Thanks to the speculators for the higher payouts to the authors. :-) In my opinion people speculate on SBD because of its low marketcap and people don't really know what SBD is. People have also take into account that inflation of SBD rises with its price. And inflation then causes downward pressure.

If Tether doesn't explode anytime soon I think they'll continue to inject enough into the crypto ecosystem to appease enough people to convince them to stay, the allure of fast gains outweighs reason for many, I think steem and sbd will continue a slow descent from their highs in tandem with other coins that have been recently pumped. In this scenario they eventually return to their natural price levels, maybe at a slight premium to pre-pump levels. The multi-hundred million dollar pump attempt got us off the recent lows, let's see how much longer the market can be convinced to stay at the table.
If Tether implodes under its own weight or the US comes at it or Bitfinex hard then all bets are off and we could see steem in the pennies.

I will be satisfied if Steem doesn't go below $5.00 again. As for SBD actually the higher its price is against Steem the better it is for authors on Steemit.

Steem is a huge gainer lately, I was looking at the charts and was actually kind of surprised to see it doing this amazing. Not that I don't see how amazing it is, just nice to see "the outsiders" feeling the same way. Steem is a lock, also I hope these SBD prices stay above that 1:1 we saw, knew I should've stockpiled SBD instead of buying steem at that point

Will that mean the payout of SBD per post will decrease? If it didnt wouldnt it mean that a 100 SBD post (not that i think ill ever get that much) would net you a 10000USD.
