While we have seen some insane gains in Bitcoin and most top cap coins Steem has been stuck at around .47 cents this whole time.
Why is Steem not pumping as well? I believe most people who are interested in Steeem already hold Steem and have it powered up. The problem is we are not getting new people into Steem to buy some Steem and power up and most of us in Steem are not buying more Steem.
I still believe Steem is undervalued and we will see a nice spike in the next few days specially if the rest of the markets continue this way but to get to a $50 Steem we need to really market our project hard and not just on our own platform. I watch a lot of crypto channels on YouTube and no one is talking about Steem, not one mention about Steem-Engine or any of the great new developments in this past month. Steem-Engine is just one example but I'd say a pretty big one, a great tool to have for the Steem Blockchain.
I believe we should still post on DTube but also have a big presence on YouTube as well. Most new comers in the space go to YouTube and thats where they hear about new projects after initially investing in BTC or ETH and move on to alt coins looking for that next big project to get gains similar to BTC.
We don't have a Just Sun or some big CEO or a big marketing department for us but we have something better. What you might ask? A big community with over 100 Justin Suns that are strongly invested in this project and are continuing to make great developments to take us forward. The rest of us who are not working on developing we really need to ramp up the marketing as a community. And I mean everywhere. Talk about Steem and the great new developments on videos you watch on YouTube, post your DTube videos to YouTube as well. Keep up the Twitter campaign (great work @nathanmars), lets keep a big talking about Steem on Reddit and all other platforms. We need to market as a community this is a community project and we as a community have to put in the work to get more people on board and show how great our platform is.
One more note to some of our whales can you guys just ignore each other if you don't like each other it really does scare away some newbies and we need to have a friendly environment for our newcomers. We have a lot of great developments going on here on Steem over the past month and lot more in the works. Lets work together and take our favorite project to the moon Steemians.

I agree with your comment about some Whales. I have seen some really nasty things going on. I ignore it in the main but if a newbie comes across some of the dirty tricks going on it will do steemit a lot of harm. They really should know that we all depend on each other to make this platform into what it could be. Steem on Brother 😎

Yeah I learned to ignore it all, really all you could do but it does scare off newbies 100%. You would think they would want what is best for the platform being the biggest stake holders but some just don’t care.
We have some awesome whales and witnesses on Steem doing great stuff hopefully others will follow their lead and put their egos aside for the better of the platform. Steem On ♨️

There is so much going on over here it's insane. We also have a WYSIWYG VR editor that builds and inserts dApps onto steem with zero code knowledge. just check out @dlux-io

There are so many awesome projects on Steem right now but yet no one is talking about it from big crypto YouTubers or any of the crypto news websites. It blows my mind.

With Steemit continuously screwing up things like the recent condenser split, we will never get new users to invest...

Hopefully with MIRA more people can set up their own nodes and we won’t be so dependent on SteemIt.

I think because blockchain and the concept behind this is pretty new, not easy to understand for some generations... so it will take time to re-educated the people, that’s when it’s important to talk about Steem in others platforms, I found out about a Steemit a month ago...

Right now censorship is a big issue and we could educate people about Steem where we have no censorship on other platforms and they will see they could earn some Steem by doing what they already have been doing as well. That is one good way to get new users that don’t even understand blockchain but with Steem they could be introduced to the blockchain world.
Another is letting the crypto world know about the current developments going on in our ecosystem. Something new comes out on a different project and every crypto YouTuber is talking about it but I hear nothing about Steem and all the recent developments. We need to work as a community to get the word out. We are our own marketing department.

...anything to do with the fundamental flaw?
..I think it is.
If I am correct, then we will be forever stuck...

Definitely the "Whale Wars" do a lot of damage to the steem image. Especially in front of the new arrivals.
I agree. So here is not the problem. True?
We must not let contribute to the platform, it is true, provide content, create reciprocal commitment with our followers. Supporting who else needs it, we will have more committed steemians. This is the first level of work.
Now, how to attract more users? We will definitely have to resort to the existing social networks outside of blockchain. We will have to venture there: facebook, youtube, twitter ... let us know then.
All best, Piotr.
