A Japanese man invested approximately 2 million yen - the equivalent of about USD 15,700 - to fulfill his dream of becoming a dog. He used the value to make a collie costume with extremely realistic details.
Toco, the name he uses on Twitter, had a fetish for behaving like a four-legged animal. That's how he wanted to become a dog. However, he didn't want to undergo body surgeries and permanent changes, so he chose to invest in a realistic costume of his favorite breed of dog.
The costume was custom made by Zeppet Workshop, an art and modeling studio recognized in Japan for creating special costumes. The studio's professionals have already created realistic clothes of robots, animals and mystical creatures to appear, mostly, in films and commercials.
Zeppet worked for 40 days to create the collie costume, using synthetic fur to give it an even more realistic finish. The artisans also sought to create a structure that completely hides the human body, in order to create the illusion that it is really a dog.

To the local broadcaster Nippon TV, the professionals of the studio say that the project was laborious and required investment in expensive materials.
"Canine anatomy is very different from human anatomy, so we had to be resourceful. We used photos of collies taken from different angles, improved the softness of the coat to hide the costume shell as much as possible, and made the mouth open and close by itself," they explain. .
Finally with the costume in hand, Toco published images on Twitter and YouTube, which went viral. He recorded himself in videos imitating the behavior of dogs, such as lying and rolling on the floor and obeying commands from a tutor.
