In Zambia found a giant emerald
A gemstone weighing 5,655 carats (1.1 kg) is estimated at £2 million (approximately 170 million rubles)
A huge emerald found geologist Debapriya Rakshit and miner Richard Capet in the mine Kagem owned by a British company. Stone called Incalmo, which means "lion", after a famous Zambian reserves. The Daily Mail quotes the words of a specialist in precious stones Elena Basaglia: "It is a stone of exceptional purity, this finding is important not only for the company but for the whole market of precious stones in the world."
The trial fragment of the emerald will be sold at an auction in Singapore next month, it will be pre-sealed by the authorities of the country. In the future, it is either cut into smaller fragments, or keep the whole. Previously, large diamonds were found in Angola: stones with diamonds paved the road.
