I live in a city in the Philippines which is recently named the Most Livable City in the Philippines. I want to promote STEEM to the Bacolodnons by showing to them that STEEM can be utilized as fiat even more efficiently.

So, your suggestions are very valuable to make STEEM viable even to the man on the street.

Thanks to those who made some suggestions on how we can make STEEM valuable to common people.

Please accept humble appreciation sent to your account. Cheers!

I believe Steem can help people by giving them a reason to use the internet (: for some people, the internet may seem like a waste of money, but they don't realize that Steemit exists yet!

Finally, there is a reason for somebody in the Amazon Rainforest to get on the internet. Or somebody who is homeless on the streets.

Steemit not only gives those people a wonderful way to make a little bit of money, but also a way for people like US to help them (: I think that's beautiful.

Steem may benefit the common people as being used as a method of remitting money and paying others. Unlike other expensive remittance services like Western Union and payment services like GCash, you can send Steem for no cost and quickly with around a 3 second processing time for most transactions.

This is a very good suggestion! This means that we need to have STEEM exchangers all over Philippines.

Yes, I believe this would be possible.

Steem money could be use when you want to evade high taxes.

Steemit in other way, can help a lot of people, those people that their actually resources are insufficient, for those who want to make an extra saving $$ for something value

I believe that STEEM is great for peer to peer purchasing as well as online in a marketplace. I would love to see Steemit marketplaces in many parts of the world, that way, you could make something in the Philippines and sell it worldwide for STEEM.

Transactions
Steemit doesn’t have any transactional fees whatsoever. It is the first platform that actually have done it.

Steemit is a fascinating marketing platform. Almost all of the posts are appearing in the top search queries. That is really important because the more content is released on Steemit, the more people are going to notice it in the Google.

Thanks for your input @nonnewtonian. What if I want to introduce it to a street vendor and say he can do business without using cash? What do you think is the best possible course of action?

I am not quite sure, because as a street vendor he relies on foot traffic for in person transactions. Steemit is still new, and odds are the people he/she interacts with do not have it yet so he still relies on their physical cash.
Perhaps they can use it as some type of as advertisement medium. He can also use it to send money to his family free of fees.
That's an interesting idea you have there, I'd like to see where it goes.

I can see what you mean. It's going to be hard for the vendor to require STEEM as payment but he can make it as an option, I guess. I will try it here as an experiment.

Need more exchanges for steem. I congratulate for hitting 700 + followers also appreciate your efforts to promote steem. Nice photo bro. Is that kid your son looking at camera ?

Thanks. Yes that's my son. Exchangers for STEEM would make it more viable for everyone to use STEEM in everyday transaction. If I am able to buy that fish with STEEM, that would be great!

Your son looks like you. Yes, we can expect the day will come where we can buy everything with Steem, a replacement to flat currency.

I might just setup a local meetup here in my place. Still looking for steemians in my area if there's one.

Muy bien amigo, Steemit es una plataforma excelente para dar a conocer. y ese niño de la fotografía ¿ quien es?

Thanks. That's my son, Leks Korbin. He draws the anime I post.

Why not trying to advertise steemit ourserlf by buying facebook add or youtube add in our respectives areas ?

I am thinking more on the idea of giving the common people access to STEEM and empower them to use it as a negotiable instrument.

But your idea is also viable in terms of informing the public what STEEM is. I also believe that information drive initiates awareness and eventually applying such into action.

Yeah before people use it widely there need to be ways they learn about it or figure out it actually exist !
