there is just no solid way to get noticed here on steemit

steemit now uses a two tier system to allow posts to trend or go viral.

the first is twelve hours which is simply silly by my posting at this hour eg 8 or 9 pm my post has virtually no possibility of being noticed in this short time frame; remember people sleep 8 hours a day...

Ok bots do not sleep, but i am seeking human votes not bot votes. so twelve hours is simply too short a time frame. the next rpund of voting payouts is 30 days.

Why not a system that 'promotes' a post "higher" or gives it extra chances to be re-seen based on votes it accumulates. simply put every vote a post gets makes it 'more sticky' and keeps it higher in whatever que it is running in.

so posts that continue to gain votes continue to garner a small measure of additional exposure. thus steemians get to keep things they like slightly more active while silly or trash posts continue away into forgotten oblivion...

if i am going to read stuff here on steemit i want it to have some hope of being of interest to me as a human. i am sick of getting bot votes and nice bot comments and then having another bot come along and down vote that bot's upvote.

while not the greatest author i love the idea of steemit, especially for all those experienced bloggers who have developed writing skills to now have a hope of gaining significant readabily and rewards...
