Hello Steemians!
It's been a while since I've done any kind of posting on social media since I've been busy playing all sorts of new blockchain games.
So, I am here to share some of my results with you.
I'm still head over heels in love with Steem Monsters but I wanted to talk about one of the latest games I have started playing, which is Axie Infinity
Before we even had any Axies to battle, my wife and I decided to purchase a couple of pieces of Arctic Land.
When you buy a chest, you get more than just the land, it gives you some random items as well, like the Flower of Life above.
You can even see where they are on the map,
though the land isn't actually usable right now.
However, in 2 weeks, on the 22nd of this month, everyone will finally be able to put their land to use as the new updates are said to be put in place by then.
Like I was saying before, we hadn't bought any Axies..
But, all of that has changed, as you can see above, there are a few of the Axies I have bred myself, using other breedable ones I have recently purchased.
This one below, I named Odin, (after the recent passing of one of our cats, named Odin.) is a "Secret-Class" Axie and is quite rare. Not to mention, expensive.
I put him on the market for a pretty high price, not sure if anyone will be willing to pay that or not, but it's worth a shot to try ;) I actually paid 0.5 ETH for one of his parents, which was another Secret-Class Axie that had previously been bred one time, which means I can still breed it 4 more times, since I have already used it to make 2 more eggs since I bought it.
This is Odin's Dad, the Secret-Class gender-neutral Axie named Rocket.
Due to some of Rocket's genetics, Odin was born with some pretty sweet body parts!
Body Parts and Abilities
The abilities that Axies can bring into battle are determined by their body parts. Mouths, Horns, Backs, and Tails all come with an associated ability while Eyes and Ears will confer passive boosts in the future.

You will attack and defend your opponents in the order that your Axie's abilities are set.
When a specific ability is used in battle, that ability moves to the back of the queue and the one behind it moves up to become the “active ability”. Always make sure you order your Axie's abilities accordingly for the best chance of winning.
Since each body part has its own abilities, you can make your teams very specific to your preferences, and the needs of your Axies.
The Confident body part looks like this.
Encourage ß: Apply an "Encourage ß" buff to self for 6 turns. Axie with "Encourage ß" gains 6 Morale.
The Pocky body part is a little different.
Bug Alliance (Passive): +2 Attack for each adjacent Bug ally.
Pocky is really handy when you have other bugs on your team, that extra ATK can easily be the difference between winning and losing the match!
The Risky Beast body part is one of my favorites.
Last Struggle (Passive): +5 Attack in Last Stand mode.
Last stand mode happens when your Axie has high morale and runs out of HP.
For a few extra moves, your Last-Standing Axie will stick around attacking and defending for your team until it runs out and finally turns into what I can only assume is a ghost, that looks like a teardrop.
Unless a move is used that attacks the back position, your Axies attack whatever is closest to them on the battlefield. When Axies are the same distance apart, attacks will be at random.
Typically, you will put your Axies with the highest HP in the front so that they can take the most damage while protecting their weaker team members. However, that is not always the best way to go about it, as there are other factors to consider like speed for instance. As with most games similar to this one, speed stats determine the attacking order of your Axies in each round.
The highest speed Axies will always attack first.
You can learn more about Axie by reading this official post of theirs on Medium.

An interesting game, where to take the time to play all the games at the same time? :)
