The answer is automated bots that down vote spam and duplicates and malicious accounts.

Second is user specific filtering in the ui.

The only ui requirement is to honestly show trending posts.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
