রাসূলুল্লাহ (সাল্লাল্লাহু ‘আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম) বলেছেন, ‘বিধবা ও মিসকীনদের সহযোগী আল্লাহর পথে জিহাদকারীর ন্যায় এবং তাহাজ্জুদগুযার ব্যক্তির ন্যায়, যে অলস হয় না এবং এমন ছিয়াম পালনকারীর ন্যায়, যে ইফতার করে না’ (বুখারী, মুসলিম, মিশকাত হা/৪৯৫১)।
