ZenTasktic - First Screenshot And A Few Insights

First of all, I want to thank to all of you who expressed interest in this project, by upvoting or commenting, I really appreciate it.

As I already wrote a few days ago, ZenTasktic is a real-time, collaborative task management and payment platform, with a dash of zen. I started this project in the first half of 2016, brought it to alpha and then put it on hold. But once I saw a significant potential of integrating micropayments with Steemit, I restarted development. Here's the launch post.

So ZenTasktic is relatively polished in therms of features or at least is not just a blog post with a bold intention. There is a lot of code already deployed.

Today I'm going to give you a few hints of what's going on, by using a real screenshot from the Assess realm. It is intended both as a development follow up and as an introduction to the app. For the actual roadmap, please follow the @zentasktic account, that's where the technical announcements will be posted.

In the screenshot above, there are 3 types of tasks:

  • owned by others and shared with us
  • owned by us and not shared (private)
  • owned by us, shared and with a value assigned (but not assigned yet to anyone)

One major difference between other ZenTasktic and other platforms is the ability to brainstorm right form within the app on any task, with anyone who has a ZenTasktic account. The blue chat icon means that you can actually modify the task and the people who can observe it (with whom the task has been shared) get real time notifications. As long as you edit the task (you assess it) the task itself will be the chat (that screenshot will come tomorrow, I'm still working on the UI). Once the task has been assessed, it can be sent to Decide (the orange triangle).

The "value" you assign to a task is in STEEM and represents the amount you're going to pay once the task is done, by whoever you select to do it (first, you have to share the task with that person).

Another significant improvement brought by ZenTasktic is the real-time evaluation of your stress level (part of the whole "zen" concept). The pie chart on the left shows you in real time the amount of stuff you have in Assess, Decide and Do, respectively. Any imbalance in any of these realms will be instantly visible. There are more stats in the working.

Please note that the UI is still under heavy development, but the code for adding, editing, deleting and managing tasks (sending to and back from any realm) is working. I will continue to add more screenshots as they will reach a relatively polished form.

Looking forward to your comments, criticism and suggestions.

If you want to support the project, please do that on the @zentasktic account, it will be much easier to follow through and more transparent.

Thank you.
