some people upvote and $0.05 is raised while others are $0.5, $0.25. how is this measured? how can i increase mine?

ok this might be a stupid question.
but how come someone upvote my post and it generates like $0.15 , $0.05.
how is this measured??

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

    Many things affect voting. If you have more Steem Power, you increase how much your upvote is worth. Voting Power also affect how much your vote is worth.
