Moving to hive

I'm sure that it does. In fact I know this but my point is that in this particular instance there is absolutely no point in raising to the challenge because there's no possible way of overcoming it without drastic change from the perpetrators.

I say this because the layout of this website is so flawed that even if you take the monetary rewards which induce these people to act the way that they do, out of the equation and just look at the exposure that any one post has, you can see that making an effort on THIS site is pointless. When you sign onto Steemit what is the first thing that you see other than your feed? The trending posts. Not the new posts but posts that have already received a certain amount of acknowledgement and financial rewards. There's both a trending page and a hot page. Why? So that posts which already have a lot of attention can get more?

If the user actually makes the effort to open the new posts page they find that the tags aren't sorted into alphabetical order but are ordered according to what I assume are the most used tags. "life", "photography", "steemit" etc. This makes finding posts on a particular topic that the reader might be interested in reading even more difficult and the search function doesn't help much. (But since most people on here don't actually bother to read the posts anyway, does this really matter?)

The five tags limit is another big problem because it significantly reduces the amount of relevant sectors into which a particular post can be slotted to reach readers who might be interested.

Then there's the layout of each users profile where we can see that instead of being able to sort posts into relevant groups. For example keeping the blog (by which I mean more diary like) posts separate from things like news, fiction, photographs etc. Everything is just lumped together and for the people who are serialising their fiction or writing consecutive related posts this is a sort of vague annoyance.

So with all of these issues and people doing their absolute best to make an already flawed system becomes even more deeply unfair, where is the ability to conquer the challenge?

Actually the best thing for this site as it is now is for fewer people to post so that those who are already popular can reap a larger percentage of the rewards. I personally don't need to waste my time creating original content and posting here when I can just read other people's mostly plagiarised posts and comment on them instead.
