I want a trending page where vote value of the
- post promotion, upvote bots
- decentralized app accounts with lots of delegated SP (utopian, dmania, dlive etc.)
- voting group accounts
are not considered. Also, self-upvotes shouldn't be counted. Not saying it will be better but I am curious about the result.
By the way, vote for me as a witness so I can find a place in the trends without using any of these promotion bots.
I am super curious too, and i think in that way, we will have more visibility of great quality content that only makes it to the HOT page. Mhhh i wish and dream for that steemit world.

It is possible to filter items 1 and 2. (How hard it is) Maybe there is a suggestion system like

we need to ensure our feeds become valuable again by ensuring those who posts gets curated. bots and self upvote should be elimnated for sure for steemit to gain more new and innovative members.

Hence also why "promoted" is completely flawed, because you'll pay to promote your posts just so that they can be handily put in this one page that no one ever visits. It's the opposite of promotion, the point of promoting is to get your post to where people actually see it (i.e. to the top of whatever page you're on).
