I am confused againsteemCreated with Sketch.

I made a post about the SBD Potato guy a few days ago and nobody was reading it so I promoted the posted. I was reprimanded by @steemflagrewards @slobberchops and @steevc and the rest of the crew piled on the flags.

I was lectured by many that buying votes is frowned upon even though my message was a good one. I might add, now everyone is talking about the SBD Potato Head on trending. Here is my post that everyone was so quick to flag

https://steemit.com/sbdpotato/@epic-fail/do-the-ends-justify-the-means

Then I see this post https://steemit.com/fraud/@jaguar.force/this-is-how-oracle-d-abuses-its-steemit-delegation-voting-37-obviously-plagiarized-threespeak-videos-by-the-same-account-in-2

And I see @steemflagrewards voted for it as well as some of the same people that flagged me for buying votes.

Well, guess what ? This poster spent almost $15 to promote their post and I spent under $4.

Here's my lecture

here's the @steemflagrewards vote on the other post that bought votes https://steemit.com/fraud/@jaguar.force/this-is-how-oracle-d-abuses-its-steemit-delegation-voting-37-obviously-plagiarized-threespeak-videos-by-the-same-account-in-2

and here is the comment under the post about how much they paid for votes

So will they now flag that post and if not will you please remove the flags from my post or do some people get a pass ?

My flag was to counteract the paid tipu vote. Not that it makes much difference. That sort of 'promotion' does not work except to get the attention of SFR.

I'm not flagging your poats where you are not buying votes.

You could update your post to clarify that @Jaguar.Force did not buy a vote.

ok, thank you for clarification. So I will use the Steemium service and it's ok. Thank you.

If that is another way to buy votes then you may still attract flags. It's just not a good way to go these days. I don't keep up with all the schemes, but I downvote based on my own checks or by those of people I trust.

but you can clearly see that they paid $14.59 usd and minnowvotes voted that post and then even steemflagrewards voted it . So maybe you can see why I am confused because what you are telling me and what is actually happening is 2 different things.

If someone else buys you a vote and there is no collusion then you should not be penalised. We do find cases where people conspire to do this and act accordingly. In general it should be up to the community to decide the value of your post. If you want to 'promote' it then decline the rewards.

jajajaja ok

you should be a politician, you are good
