Watching Crypto

There's some serious trading going on.
........................................................................................................................................................

HIGH VOLUME....
(I think)
Bitcoin is over 412 Billion market cap...going up
(make that $414 Billion...two Billion since I started writing this
Steem is almost to a Billion (986 million) ...going up.
Scratch that...it's passed the Billion mark...(since I started writing this)

One odd thing I noticed...BitCoin dominance isn't changing much...still about 38%...
what does that mean?

There is a LOT of trading going on...millions and millions of dollars are changing hand an hour...perhaps per minute.
Steem has $54 million an hour.
BitCoin is $11 BILLION an hour.
The total market cap for the entire CryptoSphere is approaching half a $TRILLION ,
$18Billion in the last 24hrs.

wonder what caused this to happen?

update: This
partially...I don't see why it would have affected BitCoin or the rest of the market.

i think the big boys are accumulating now

It could maybe be stockmarket money that is flowing into crypto's. Investors start to get more and more nervous about all the debt bubbles, yield curve flattening out, etc.
In short: a lot of the same signs as back in 2008.

this time of day?

They're already rigging and propping things up in any way they can. What better time to do than when it's dark, hahaha.

Wow you've been really monitoring, it's like a huge sin if you miss it. Anyway, you're just soooo right, I've been checking as well, and it's incredible!

the bond market......
...money has to go somewhere

16000 BitCoin were just moved from MtGox wallet to 4 different wallets earlier today. I’m sure you saw it in the news, but if the market follows the pattern of the last dump of fund from MtGox wallets, prices are liable to slide into the shitter again. Hope not, Ive not seen any info on why they were moved. The lawyer representing the bankruptcy is in charge of the funds and dispersing them to who were robbed. I hope this move is for that intention and it doesn’t come to light that guy just dump a crap ton of BitCoin and hauls ass.

eventually all the Mt.Gox coins will have been dispersed..
then we'll be confronted with something else to panic about.
Tether for example.

Yeah I’m very wary of tether, supposedly back by a 1:1 ration to the USD. I’m not quite educated enough on the altcoin overall, but from what i have read I find it to a bit more of a coin I’m stand offish from. Fiat was supposed to be back by gold and we see how that ended up. Not to get you to have to go out of your way too much, but whats you opinion on tether, or maybe you could point me to a few good articles.

I don't have any articles on tether I could point you at right off the bat.
but if I recall there is one exchange (bitfinex?...why do all exchange names sound so much the same?)..who got their wrist slapped preeeety hard. They seem to be in bed with tether.

I'd avoid it at all costs..

Thanks for the info MR Mickey!

you're welcome.

when you think tether think 'fiat backed by gold'...
that's pretty much it.

I wish I could profer an answer. I have been watching closely in search of a concrete explanation to this. I guess we all have to search more.

I'm looking at two computers with three monitors total, each one has a dozen tabs open and I'm scanning thru them rapidly.
No news from CoinBase or any of the CryptoPublications.
Nothing on Drudge.
Nothing on Infowars..

nothing..nothing..nothing..
bitcoin is hanging at %38 percent dominance.
Eighteen billion per twenty four hours for the whole crypto space right now and increasing.
Steem is about $60 Million /24 hours...and increasing.
it was over a billion market cap but it dropped back..but it's going up again.

I think...

We will keep looking. When the clue comes up. I’ll surely be back to share.
Steem has been making me smile bright recently
Thank you my friend

you're welcome

thank you so much for information

Wow @everittdmickey this is really good observation.
I am surprised too. I hope it is all good.
Let's see

Hmm, good question. I was wondering myself. Interesting, my guess is some news in Asia that hasn't hit the West yet? What do you think?
