Warning. The solution presented here may not work properly in some situations. Can you send feedback so I can fix the problem.

ReSSteem is a new project that creates the ability to track tags and people by generating an appropriate link for RSS readers.

1) How to start

The whole mechanism is to generate the appropriate link. For this purpose we use the Generator placed on the main page.

Go to the website: http://ressteem.tk

First, we choose whether we want to track the tag or user.

Choosing the appropriate option will take us to the appropriate wizard.

1a) Tracking tag

When selecting tag tracking for the generator we have 3 fields to complete:

  • Tag name,
  • The group from which we take the last entries,
  • Do RSS links to Steemit.com [checked] (or to Busy.org [unchecked]).

1b) Tracking User

When selecting user tracking we have 3 fields to complete:

  • User login (eg @fervi or fervi)
  • The group from which the entries are to be taken.
  • Do RSS links to Steemit.com [checked] (or to Busy.org [unchecked]).

1c) Link

Once all the data has been filled out, a link will appear. This link is simply a resource for RSS. If someone has Firefox then the link will show the RSS feed.

3) How can I help you?

Send Feedback. I'm not able to check hundreds or thousands of users and tags. Simply add a comment.

Any other questions? Also add a comment.

I was wondering about this. Thanks :-) Do you know of any powerful uses for it yet?

You can "spy" not only users, but tags. Steemit and Busy (for now) don't have this option (follow tags)

To use it you need to download RSS Reader (eg Liferea under Linux, Flym under Android) and paste this link. Then the program will download the current list of posts. If you get new, you will get the information.

Thanks! I'll check it out when I have time.

Congratulations @fervi! You have completed some achievement on Steemit and have been rewarded with new badge(s) :
