IndonesianMinus eye handling therapy
Usually when diagnosed with minus eye, the patient is 'required' to wear glasses to overcome them. But, an eye specialist, dr. William Bates found that minus eyes can actually be overcome by doing eye exercises without the need for glasses or lasik surgery.
According to dr. Bates sight impairment occurs due to improper viewing habits. The habit of constantly staring at the object causes the eyes to become tense.
The exercises proposed by Bates aims to train the eye in order to set the focus to be more efficient and train relax the eye muscles.
This therapy is based on the belief that there is a combination of body, soul, and mind used to see. Health factors, food, stress, and posture of a person can also affect vision. Here are some of the therapies recommended by Bates:
- Hiding
This exercise serves to help relax the eyes. Sit in front of the table and place some pillows parallel to the eyes. After that put your elbow on the pillow and close your eyes with your palms. Continue to breathe slowly, relax, and imagine you are in the dark. Do this exercise for 10 minutes 2-3 times a day. - Move the eyeballs
Do this move by standing and focusing on the point that is far away from you. Then move your eyeballs from right to left while blinking 100 times each day. Flashing serves to lubricate and clean the eyes. - Choose one color in one day
Choose a different color each day and look out with selected color objects throughout the day. When looking at it someone will be more aware of color rather than shape. - Sunbathing
When the weather is sunny, close your eyes then face the sun directly in the eye is still closed. While looking at the sun, move your head to the right and left secra slowly until it almost shrugs the shoulders. This exercise can bring more blood circulation to the neck. Do this exercise once for 3-5 minutes a day. - Shifting the sight
Staring at the computer screen continuously can also cause the eye to minus. Should not keep staring at the computer screen, occasionally switch your eyes on other objects that are around you. seeing paintings on walls or potted plants can be an option for those of you who are indoors.
This exercise can prevent farsightedness, nearsightedness, increased peripheral vision, and cataracts.
Dr. William Bates recommends removing contact lenses or eyeglasses while doing eye exercises to be more comfortable and relaxed. When doing this exercise try to really concentrate on the eyes so that the results are more leverage.
