Q and A Series Heats Up - Are You Not Earning Much Money On Steemit? Who Cares Get To Blogging

I earned 52 Cents So Far

Well I really don't care how much I'm not earning out here. I will keep on plugging away because I enjoy expressing myself and writing online is fun for me. I consider myself a freelance author of the web who does it for pennies. I been doing so since 2010 after joining what is known as Hubpages. (A real writers/bloggers social network where Ads are displayed)

So what was it like to get started as a blogger/

Starting off back in 2010 on Hubpages was a wonderful experience actually because back then the Internet wasn't as robust as it is today with many options. Yeah there was cool places to network on, but not as many as there are today. So blogging out there and networking with others actually was fun.

How much do you expect to earn on Steemit?

I don't expect to earn anything, but it would be cool to start earning something rather than nothing.

Why blog if you don't earn much?

There's always the chance that something I come up with can take off. I experienced such a thing copy writing out on Hubpages when my first article shot through the digital roof earning me over 10,000 views in a single day. It was covering the Forbes Top 10 Billionaires List for 2011. I'll never forget that moment, because I finally felt like my words were being read and felt by tons of people. There's no better feeling like it on the social web or Internet to know that what you created is finally getting recognized. I got tons of feedback to and all positive. It was a spectacular moment, and so this is why I continue to blog away without regard to earning a dime.

What's it like to blog for 5 years plus?

It's a regiment to jot words down day to day for years on end, and since my computer has a keyboard attached I feel like my thoughts have a cool outlet to express itself. I allow my words to take flight digitally and join the trillions of ideas floating around in the abyss of 1's and 0's that are used to output them.

Writing is a release unlike any other expression in the world, yes a picture can spell a thousand words or worth such, but a thousand words itself can help reunite people worldwide if the heart is there behind the pen, pencil, or digital keys. Ever heard of a inspirational speech that inspired millions?

Today words may not be worth as much as one might think, but depending on the ideas behind such words, the person who's heart and passion launches them online and where you choose to write them. That makes it all worth the time invested long term of course.

Why join Steemit? why not some other dedicated writers platform like Hubpages?

I like new things and love to expand my horizons. A great example is what I just now finished completing out on YouTube. A awesome vacation stay experience that for me was very new even though tons of strangers and my relatives may have experienced it. We got to travel and visit Lake George in upstate New York this summer for the Independence Day 4th of July celebration. We had a blast! (I enjoy photography as well as making vlogs peep that video above for some of my flower photos, more to come)

So in that effect doing new things can sprout some awesome feelings of joy and become the catalyst for far more awesome experiences. Also, if you stay doing the same thing for far to long complacency may set it, and it will which is never a good thing. So I recommend to everyone reading this blog post out on Steem to think about the true reasons why you choose to do anything. If it's only about the money regarding what all you choose to do online or off then you're seriously missing the point and what will happen when the river runs dry sort to speak. Then where's the motivation to continue going.

I think it's more than meets the eye regarding everything in this life. If you don't make moves though you will never get passed that point of no return so don't waste time, instead make every moment count for something and it will never ever become a total waste. As they say "Keep it moving!"

Have you ever prayed that you would earn more as a blogger?

You bet I do each and every day before and after I choose to create a article/blog post. Why not right because prayer actually helps us to maintain that positive outlook on things despite the fact that nothing may happen that one expects.

Most of the time if you pray as well as take action behind such a thing. Then and only then will things begin to start occurring for you. One cannot just simply pray for things to come, and expect them to be answered without putting any kind of consistent effort into it all "Heck, expectations are never a good thing to mix with prayer anyhow". That's like being a beggar who demands to be given something when asked and we all know what those types receive out here in this world.

Begging online makes you look desperate and all it will earn you if anything at all is a low to poor web reputation at best.

Good post. I started blogging in 1999. My first profit ever was here on Steemit-- $100. Blogging does not pay for the vast majority of bloggers. Winning in this game is like winning the lottery (1 in 17 million odds). But we write.... For what purpose I don't know... Good luck.

Thanks glad you like my blog, wow that's a long time blogging. Good stuff!

Hopefully you can earn much more and I hear ya on that lottery thing. It sure is for those who are great at blogging ☺️ I aim to be great at it someday.

I've been blogging about various stuff for many years. It's not generally been regular. On Tsu I was doing lots of short posts. Some were just a photo with a brief comment. I prefer writing longer pieces here. I can probably do one or two each day depending on how busy I am. I just keep of things to write about as they occur to me.

It would be cool to make something here, but I can't really expect to get rich from what I write

Yeah bro I enjoy blogging and done it a great deal out on tsū. I like that people are out here blogging away as Steem $'s is a great motivator for most who do so I bet.

Please don't spam my posts. Thanks! Up voting is cool but to do so by way of promoting your posts Isn't cool. You said nothing about what I wrote as well.
