If you are in Mexico, Bitso is your friend.

So, I am having to fund a trading account so that I can trade to mexican pesos.
It looks like I dodged the carnival bullet, but now I have no employment prospects.
It looks like I have to hope the price doesn't tank between now and 2028 when my check kicks in.
I sure don't want to have to go back to the shed.
Although, with electricity for heat, it wasn't so bad.

The bitcoin cash I sent the other day went through with no fees on the interface and just a few minutes waiting time.
Now I've sent ltc, eth, and btc.
Btc is by far the slowest and most expensive.
It's showing as pending now, I guess that is what 10 minute blocktimes looks like.
It sure won't take long for folks to figure out steem is much faster, cheaper, and that makes it better.

So, for the record, it appears that bitso is the place to send your coins if you need to trade to pesos.
I will know more about sending it to a bank account and/or to an oxxo account in the next post I make about this.

Can't you convert steem into pesos or at least steem into dollars and then pesos?

No, i have to go to another coin first.
Nobody here knows what sttem is, most havent heard of btc, either.

Really? Most people in Mexico don't know about bitcoin? That's surprising. I think it is a pain to buy steem. I think we need an internal market or maybe some paypal buyers and sellers on here. Do you have a paypal account?

Nope.
If the banksters would let them they would already have ways to cash out.
Otherwise you got to convince atm operators to upgrade.

Wow! Even in places like Mexico City? Probably in another year or two most of them will know.

In the distrito federal there are atms, but not here.

Bitcoin atm's? I don't think we really need bitcoin atm's but they are helpful.

Im going to start advertising at some point.
First ive got to make sure the ramps are connected.

thats crazy, maybe you can talk them into taking steem?
would rule if they did!

Yeah, maybe.
They take ripple.

hell, if they are willing to take ripple then they should be open to the idea of steem.
That would be a huge accomplishment for steem in general if they did.
:O

Not sure how many customers they would get, but yeah, it would cut out a step.

if they made a steem account ans said they take steem i could see that bringing some whales out to vacation or whatever at minimum. might also make a situation where there is a location where people can live off their steem with minimal hastel too.
never know.

BTC is still the standard way of having them transferred to a bank account. Or, I simply just don't know better.

Well, bitcoin cash has bitcoin beat in fees and transfer times, for sure.
I will be using bitcoin cash to fund it from now on.

Let's just call them burrito coins, then :3

Would you believe there are no burritos here?
Tacos y tortas.
I saw burritos on the border, but they dont have them anywhere else ive been
Enchiladas are not the same, either.
And they call mosquitos sanculos, and a fly is a mosco.
Ive been given bum info.

They have a burrito place, not 10 minutes from here. After this night I'll have a burrito. You have my word on that. I could even take a picture as I'm burring burr. I would love to throw a burrito at the Mexico wall in the near future. (Symbolically fun)

Its crazy building that wall, it will just increase bribes.

We all love nicer words for debt slavery :P

Slavery is freedumb.

Thanks for the info. Didn't know you were there. I'm thinking of retiring there in the next year or three, whenever my kiddo gets out on her own.

What town city are you close to? I know Acapulco has anarchists. That's my first choice at the moment.

I liked Aca, if you got a check coming in it is hard to beat.
Im over on the eastside near Poza Rica and Tuxpan.
Its a couple hours south of tampico.
Rents are lower here.
Not many english speakers.

I'll look into those places this weekend. My dad is an immigrant from Cuba. In sure i could get better than the basics when I move.

However, it is funny those who don't think of that. Thanks for the leads.

If you have income you will do just fine here.
