Thanks penguinpablo. Simple... the more of us that get onto steem the higher the price will go. Although i'm just new here, it feels like its still early days in comparison with other more established social media sites.

Yeah, Steemit still has a huge growth potential, and will probably rise steady for several years to come :) So don't worry if you feel like you got here late; it just feels late, but I think we are still in the early days of this network.
