One solution to deal with this problem would be to stagger the posts randomly or according to their topicality. Otherwise, a trend ranking unilaterally rewards people who have established themselves. In my opinion, a system should always be equal. The consequences would be that people rest on their achievements and do not create anything new. This also suffers the entire quality.

A method that shows by chance would also be more resistant to manipulation since nobody could permanently buy into the trends. The problem is particularly visible on YouTube, where con artists abuse the inexperience of children and adolescents to point to subscription sites. This often entrusts third-party money providers who use automatic programs to fake likes and write comments.
