I have a Poloniex account...Is it easy to buy coin there?..or did you buy from another source? I generally use Coinbase..but I can't get around their limits at the moment.

Everything is done instant. The limit for trading is 0.0001 bitcoin wich is very low.

Thanks 4 sharing this, interesting. The big hurdle 4 me with cryptos is the initial purchase -- to the uninitiated it appears terribly complex and time consuming.
I wish it were possible to simply pad my Steem wallet via a debit card. Or 4 that matter, is that possible?

As far as I know you cannot pay with FIAT at this moment.
There are other ways though. If you have access to a Bitcoin ATM you can buy some bitcoins with cash.

In the meantime I checked YouTube and found a way using the service: Circle Pay. You can use a debit card for a bitcoin purchase :-)
