Improving Steem

in steem •  6 years ago

Whatever it was you were working on to improve the Steem platform yesterday, please keep working on it.

Oh, you weren't working on anything? Well, that's too bad. Because there's really nothing stopping you from getting on that. Just carry on and keep working on it once you get going.

Ignore the drama. Ignore the promises made by other influencers to deliver whatever it was they promised. The platform is perfectly viable to at least start that thing you were going to do.

Oh, that one guy said he'd do something that you thought was similar to your thing? Well, that's ok. Keep working on yours. Maybe you have a better strategy. Or maybe when that one guy makes actual progress, you can take a peek at it and maybe improve yours.

Nevermind his influence. Nevermind his hair. It's not anything for you to worry about right now.

20 balloons float away while I'm busy permanently tying one to a tree to deal with it for good. Unfortunately, that one balloon was 'land a rocket on the moon in Kerbal Space Program.'

Here's a hint about the better strategy - focus on user experience first and foremost!

No, that's a comic called xkcd.

Well said! This is excactly how we keep this platform alive🙂

This, this, THIS , so many times over!^^

I cannot remember who it was @inertia but I read something about someone creating SMT's without the help of @steemit.

Do you happen to know who that was?

I think it would be good to raise awareness for that project 👍

Maybe you're referring to soft-consensus tokens. I think they still need a lot more work first.

I read somewhere that someone else, instead of @steemit, would try to create Smart Media Tokens (SMT's) but I am not sure if they are going to follow through, or if they were just referring to soft-consensus Tokens. @inertia

I am now wondering what will happen with the development of SMT's or Dapp Tokens, now that @steemit is focusing on cost reduction and Steemit.com.

Kerbal start with "block" ?

Even though we have had so many bad points lately, I believe steem is still heading for a prosperous future. Obviously, these changes impact negatively, but if people are looking to the future, they will understand that in order to ensure a more decentralized future, we need to ensure that ned's and STINC's power of influence diminish, as it is now shrinking.

I went against front-ends to delete users' posts because they brought something "negative". If I am in favor of ban the accounts, I would be contradicting myself.
In my opinion, we should not ban it, even if it results in prosperity in the future. We must, take away this hegemony of influence from ned and STINC using another alternatives ways, like remember every user about this act they did, ignoring transparency and all other stakeholders.

Solid advice.

The platform is perfectly viable to at least start that thing you were going to do.

Central statement that pulls this post above the realms of blind technological optimism into realism. #pessimistapproved
