after 5 days idle we are back but with a very different mood than before this fucking shit HF20.
We cannot explain our frustrating situation to see that step by step community was again restarting after the explosion of the bomb, but we wasn't able to do anything, even a small comment!
And what now?
Now it seems this community is become a rich club.
Who have a lot of power doesn't care about this change, but for small users this is an hell, because they can do limited number of comments and post!
If the intenction of the owners was to stop spamming, why they did it not set the same limit for all the same not depending of account dimension??
Some time people like exclusive club when only rich people are admitted, but if this will be Steemit, this is not our place!
Expecially all people coming in 2018, helped growing Steemit with taxes paid when it value was 5 times more, we paid Steem 4 usd, so thats why we cannot have such power like who join here when it value was words of cents.
So we hope that this fucking limit of posting or comments will be erase, we agree that the upvote value still be the same, but not that suddenly you are not able to make a comment because your power is ended, this have no sense for popular community!

I made 1 whole blog post yesterday and zero replies - I have to say - if you want me to reply to your post "PM me on Discord". I looked at your link and it goes to yet another "it's your fault invest in the process". One major problem with this is new users know sweet FA about the process - they expect it to be a blogging site - ie. what it is pitched to be. For most people they see a front door with a warm friendly sign that isn't Facef$%***gbook and go in. Unfortunately just beyond the front door is a rabbit hooooollllllllllleeeeee and it is, weeeeeee, a lOOOOOONNNNNGGGG way down.

Only a few people make money on steemit while the rest of us earn jack shit. Steemit was advertised as a place to post and earn and so far that isnt the case. Now what, you are saying that it was all bullshit and that it is an invest and earn program? Sounds like a fucking scam to me. I didn't expect any increase of STEEM price because of HF. Price of Steem is connected to BTC price (like all crypto market) and BTC is still low.

Steemit.Inc badly messed the HF up. It shouldn't be too bad after after the patch though. I was totally locked out but I can use my account again now at least. There shouldn't be a need for patches though, they just needed to consider the majority of the users on the platform, not just the whales, I guess fat chance of that happening though

Steem needs a better system than the old bandwidth method to manage the network resources. Usage of Steem blockchain will likely increase a lot when Smart Media Tokens are launched.
Giving the same amount of RC to every account would make spamming very easy by creating multiple accounts. The most effective way to reduce spam is to make it expensive.
Reducing RC amount when reputation is below 25 may help a bit at reducing spam, although the reputation system can be exploited easily.

Well I think Steem was bleeding its marketcap away they thought why don't we monetize use of the platform through this interaction limitation but they packaged it poorly. What it should have been was say a steemit premium account and a basic account so people know what they are in for. While I do feel for the small accounts, i mean im personally helping them try to grow, encouraging people to put their money where their mouth is isnt such a bad idea.
I've met plenty of authors who were half decent made money without investing and did they stay and remain a role model and success story? no they powered down and fucked off to the end of time
This HF will make steemit more exclusive, it will make people think twice before posting or interacting since resources are so precious and is the first step to us moving away from steemit as the main tool for engagement with the blockchain
While there are things i don't agree on, PR, communication, blanket rules and reliance on machine learning and data modelling and the centralisation of steemit, we're all here to make it better in a way so yeah some will quit, some will keep going thats the nature of the beast and how its been since 2016. I'm going to give it a few more years before i make a real decision on what steemit will become

I took my time to read through the comments and replies and I like the engagement going on. I don't want to get caught up in the arguments but I have a few words. Everyone doesn't have the same opinion but we're all stuck in the same boat.
For me, the new model has its merits. Less spam, more incentive to buy Steem and power up....

Whatever the numbers end up being, a redfish account should be able to post and comment a reasonable amount on a daily basis.
Call it 5 average length posts and 10 comments. Add another 10 upvotes that's the normal recharge rate under HF19 and prior.
That's real life social behavior, not spam.
