So did you think it was impossible to mine STEEM? It's true, and yet it's also not...
"Mining" 101
In the proof-of-work sense of actually having your computer spend countless hours of cracking algorithms in order to extract cryptocurrency out of thin air, then it is absolutely correct that you and I probably won't be mining STEEM anytime soon. On the other hand, is it possible to still get rewarded with free SBD by letting your computer do some work? This is absolutely possible by running videos paid by advertisers and getting paid for your time in authentic cryptocurrencies such as STEEM.
The following is my referral link to my "mining" operation: https://www.earncrypto.com/earn-free-steem/?r=60446
Attached is a screen shot to show you what my second screen is doing this Sunday afternoon while I blog on Steemit on my first computer monitor:
As you can see, I'm running four videos at a time in order to further optimize my efforts. Obviously, you can do as many as you want as long as your bandwidth will allow it.
For proof of my latest rewards check out this screenshot:
The one thing I will say is that it's ideal to keep your expectations in check here. Don't expect a ridiculously large amount of income flowing in. But is it a good source of additional value from running your computer anyways? Absolutely. Care to join me in "mining" some extra value? If so, then once again, here's the link to consider:
