The full Team Fortress 2 asset repository has leaked online, containing 61 GB worth of maps, models, PSDs, and other content. Valve's team-based multiplayer shooter has had previous breaches, including source code leaks for Team Fortress 2 as early as 2020. However, this recent dump from the repository might be the biggest one yet. Despite the game's release in 2007, Team Fortress 2 still has a dedicated player base and Valve released a game patch as recently as January 2023. The leak includes a huge number of never-before-seen assets and could potentially contain everything related to the game. The community may ask Valve for permission to use some of the leaked data, or the company may officially release some of the maps and models for community use. Valve may need to revisit their repository and improve their data security to prevent further breaches.
