Crazy times ... How I feel

I've been on Steem for almost 3 years.
Steem was my first crypto.
These last couple of weeks have been so stressful with the Justin/Witnesses stalemate thingy.
I'm sad that a resolution could not take place.

I am excited about the new Hive Blockchain. I think it's really cool, but at the same time, I have a sense of loss regarding Steem.

All the communities I'm in and all of my friends have moved to Hive so of course, I'm moving there as well.
I'm going to be running my contests and curation on Hive starting this week, but I'm not sure that I can let go of Steem yet.

Why?

• I have a hard time letting things go in general.
• Steem was my first crypto and that means a lot to me.
• I feel like I've worked so hard for the Steem that I have so selling it would feel like a huge loss for me.
• Steem has been a huge part of my life for almost 3 years so I'm emotionally attached to it.

I guess in reality, the emotional attachment has to do with the community, so if the community I know has moved to Hive then I shouldn't feel such a loss. It's just a transfer.

Maybe I'm just having a hard time processing and dealing with the changes since it happened so quickly ... and I'll feel more acceptance of the situation as time moves forward.

I'm also dealing with a huge sense of loss and grief regarding the passing of my 18-year-old cat so that emotional turmoil is likely casting its shadow over every situation making it hard to parse individual feelings.

Is the entire community moving to Hive?

Should I still run contests on Steem as well?

I don't know what to do.

On top of all this, we also have the Corona situation. My school is closed and we are working to transition to online piano lessons so I'm trying to deal with that situation as well.

And as if 7 cats weren't enough ... someone abandoned a kitty and now it looks like we have 8 cats.

So I'm feeling ... overwhelmed.
