Look what arrived in the mail today. Why did I order it and why you might consider doing the same.

"Connect Coinbase to spend online and offline at over 38 million merchants worldwide."

"The Shift Card is a VISA debit card that currently allows Coinbase users in select states and territories (see list below) in the U.S. to spend bitcoin anywhere VISA is accepted."

My goal remains the same with Steemit. To earn enough with Posting, Curating, & Trading to buy a Motorcycle for myself and Tablet for my grandmother. We all have our own goals, these are just my humble ones. I have been with Steemit since August of last year, but have been blogging actively more since January. I am not a coder, I am only a part time trader, and my writing is mostly in the format of screenplays and journals. My expertise is in live human interaction via improv performance and education. I have performed for audiences in the hundreds in Chicago, LA, St Louis, Phoenix, and festivals around the country. I've performed for thousands aboard Norwegian Cruise Lines's cruise ships with The Second City. I have facilitated workshops for hundreds of teachers, investors, marketers, and tech companies with CSZ & Second City Works.

But I have always been a reckless rebel in regards to my relationship with Authority. I currently teach improv in St Louis and have a loyal staple of students. I do not charge them much. I am still a rebel with finance. I choose to let the blockchain reward me. I choose to let your simple vote be my humble witness on my journey back to Los Angeles and my Improv Family, The Reckoning. And this I will do. The Reckoning has many mantras, one of which is, "Say it, Do it. Do it, Say it." And that is what I, and You, are doing with @Steemit. You are well rewarded for following and upvoting my posts. I am a human being who gives Steemit a value of humanity. All of my photos are my own. I copy little to nothing from the internet. I share my journey so as to show you the human value of your view and vote. You are well rewarded for following and upvoting other steemers who blog about their human journey.

The Whales will always have their day, and much respect to them and their family. But not everyone is a million dollar market maker or brilliant coder. God Bless their talents, may their portfolio grow. And God Bless Yours. We will all be rewarded through the blockchain. We will all achieve our goals of putting food on the table, roof over the head, and family in our arms. And I have you to thank for my inevitable success, my new motorcycle to take me back to the Reckoning, and for the tablet I will give to my grandmother so that she may continue to love and cherish her grandchildren across the country. You, have me and others who blog human interest, to thank for those reminders that we are all human, and that Steemit has a chance to be a true revolution that rewards humanity.

I thought about writing a text book, "How to order and use the Shift Card" post. But I feel this reflects more on the "Why?" Why should you order the shift card, or xapo, or any other debit card for that matter? Because for so many of us, we still need access to a fiat form of payment in everyday life to capitalize on our individual human talents and achieve our inevitable success. Maybe you are a musician, visual artist, author. Maybe you are a social worker, work in a factory, or government employee. Maybe you are in the Military, Education, Professional Sports or work a 9-5 retail job. And regardless of profession, you know doubt have human interests and goals that give your life value. You are infinite potential and have infinite value. Regardless of what we each want in this life, on Steemit we all have a chance to say it. With this card, I now have a chance to do it.

What a huge shift in the world of finances. I can't wait to see something like this coming out in Canada as well. Thanks for sharing, namaste :)

I think there is something. But I do not know what it is. Be well Eric.
ps, updated my streemian not to miss upvoting your posts.

Thanks for your kind and thoughtful message, it is appreciated. My next posting is coming soon, very soon!

All for one and one for all! Namaste :)

Great post. As I read a long a couldn't help thinking that I may have found a kindred spirit her on Steemit. I look forward to your future posts.
I don't know if It was stated and I missed it, but I'd love to hear how Shift works out for you!
I am going to share follow and resteem. If you end up on Steemprentice or any similar sites for auto curation please let me know.
Thanks and praise. V

I know of @Steemprentice, but not much on how to get involved. They do good work I believe. I was thankful to be included in some @Curie posts a few months back. They do good work. I curate and contribute with @Steemtrail. It is a large and fluid community of curators. I edit a weekly update for them and pull content from their Discord channel. You can follow Steemtrail for more updates and say hello to everyone and ask more questions by visiting: This Link Here. Thank you for your comment. Follow'd back :)

I was looking for the @Steemprentice website the other day, but couldn't find it. I either searched the wrong way or they've taken the site down. I'll try once more before I call it.
I know about both @Curie and @Steemtrail I curate for them as much as possible and @Curie post mentions are an honor in my opinion so a congratulation is certainly in order. I offer my highest praise to you for your accomplishment.
I've been trying to get involved with @Steemtrail, but I need to put forth more effort their way. I would love to edit posts, it's actually something I think of often when browsing social media because even the big guys mess up once in a while.
Big or small I see it as bad form to post something full of mistakes. I'm no Hemmingway, but I always try to go over my posts and or comments at least once. I should probably stick to the twice edit rule that I apply to my school papers, but time doesn't always permit.

Would you happen to have any wisdom you could share with me in terms of getting something rolling with @Steemtrail so that I can not only begin earning trail, but more importantly provide any services they may need help with?
Thanks and praise for your time. V

Sure buddy.

Go the link on discord and introduce yourself.
In the top righthand corner are pinned posts with info on how to get started.
You'll need an OpenLedger account to recieve the trail.
I suggest following @VirtualGrowth for all things OpenLedger and Bitshares updates so you can learn more about how all the assets are trading.
I always wanted to get involved with @Curie but didn't know how, so I am happy with the little time I can put into seeing what other curators are sharing on @Steemtrail as well as leaving some links of things i discover here and even share my own posts there, cause i still consider myself a small potato.
This is one of the 'pinned' posts with some info as well: https://goo.gl/ACpVqs

I have an Open Ledger account and am already privy to the information you shared (I still greatly appreciate it regardless.) Perhaps I should've been more to the point I apologize.
I'm going to browse through the trail channels on Discord so I can remember what it was exactly that I'm trying to figure out. I may be back with a more direct question if I don't already have the answer floating around my head.
I truly appreciate the time you took to respond to my questions.

I'm learning lots of new things too. All the best to all of us.

Great idea, I'm ordering mine today. Thanks!

Happy to help. Thank for the comment.

I've had my Shift Card for more than a year now. Like you, I like having easy access to my money, so I keep a bit of my Bitcoin on the Shift Card through Coinbase and the rest is off line in a hard wallet (Ledger Nano). The Shift Card works flawlessly and is accepted everywhere Visa is accepted. I've used it probably ten or so times, at places like the grocery store, Barnes and Noble, gas station, etc... Shift texts me every time I use the card just make sure it was I who used it. I think more people would buy Bitcoin if they understood that they could attach a debit card to it and have instant access for making purchases. Great article. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your experience. That sounds like how I will be doing it as well. Nice to hear it works for someone else. Follow'd

Are there any fees?

Yes.
$10 to purchase. Which is more than some banks and less than others.
$2.50 for ATM withdrawls. Which is comparable to all other cards.
But zero fees for domestic purchases.
And whenever you use a debit card in a transaction at a store, you can always ask for cash back with no fee.
There are a few other crypto debit cards. Some of them charge $30 or more for their card.
Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks. I'll have to get one:)

right on!
follow'd.

I wonder when we see something like that in South Africa?

I hope so I don't know if either of these work in South Africa:

https://xapo.com/card/

Thank you for the link, I will check it out.

happy to help. i'm looking forward to when @steemit has a debit card.

It's so bad i can't order it here.

Where are you? There are other options. (follow'd)

I live in Algeria, and there's some companies that are avoiding dealing with us due to some political issues but yes there's other options
Thanks for the follow, im following you too since a while.
