Many steemit users are protesting against the manipulation of the Trending page on steemit. Through the use of bid-bot operators, delegators,. What comes to the mind of many when they see the word TRENDING is suppose to be like Yahoo page where Top stories are the Highlight of the page and not sponsored pages as we do on steemit.
What do we see? the people involve in these are the Whales , Dolphins and some others on the Blockchain, They write contend or post that are less value and informative to appear on the Trending page. they were able to do this because of the -pay to get trend on steemit-

Your contend should not get in the Trending page because you can sponsor it , rather because it worth it...
